One win one loss, not the worst start to the season for the Hammers, as we currently sit in 8th place! West Ham will be hoping to turn their home form around with the visit of Southampton after the midweek loss to Sheffield Utd in the Capital One Cup.

Team news

The injury list has, again, started to pile up for West Ham with Collins and Sahko adding to a list of Carroll, Jenkinson, Jarvis and Nolan. With Tomkins and Obrien playing well at Palace, the Hammers can be confident of another strong defensive display against a newly formed, Southampton side. It remains to be seen whether Big Sam will start Valencia ahead of Cole but I assume that the gaffer will stick to the same team as last week, after an excellent performance. Hopefully Zarate will be able to produce another quality finish!

For the away side Gallagher, Isgrove and Rodriguez are all still out but Gaston Ramirez will face some last minute fitness tests, so could play some part in this fixture. 

Predictions

This will be an interesting game with an inform West Ham side against a newly formed Southampton team. I predict a tight game and a 2-1 West Ham win COYI!
